Orem Timpanogos Storytelling Festival Archive
Orem’s Timpanogos Storytelling Festival Archive contains materials documenting the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival, held in Orem, Utah from 1990 through 2016. This collection from the Orem Public Library is comprised of the materials documenting the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival, held in Orem, Utah. The collection covers materials from 1990 through 2016. Festival founder Karen Ashton held the Festival in her backyard from 1990-1995. As attendance increased the Festival location changed two more times. From 1996-2004 it was held at the Olmstead Power Plant located at the mouth of the Provo Canyon. In 2005 the City of Orem built a brand new park to specifically meet the needs of the Festival. The Mt. Timpanogos Park was the home of the Festival from 2005-2016. In 2017 the Festival was again relocated to Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah.
